Energy Efficiency and Roof Replacement Works for Peabody

Axis is currently delivering energy efficiency and essential refurbishment works across multiple residential blocks in central London on behalf of Peabody, supporting their Energy Efficient Homes Programme and wider carbon reduction ambitions.

Fortune House – Central London

At Fortune House, a residential block comprising 24 flats, Axis is carrying out a full roof replacement using a Langley copper face membrane. Once roofing works are complete, solar panels will be installed, with the roof structure reinforced to safely accommodate the additional load.

Alongside the roofing works, the project scope also includes:

  • Lateral mains replacement
  • Communal lighting upgrades
  • Installation of new extractor fans

These improvements will contribute to improved building performance, increased reliability of services, and long-term sustainability benefits.

Peabody Court – Barbican

Works are also progressing well at Peabody Court in the Barbican, a residential block comprising 42 properties. Here, Axis is delivering a polyroof liquid waterproof roofing system, alongside:

  • Lateral mains replacement
  • Communal lighting upgrades
  • Installation of solar panels

This site forms part of the same Peabody Energy Efficient Homes Programme, with works designed to improve energy efficiency and future-proof the building.

Supporting Carbon Reduction and Resident Benefits

Across both sites, the installation of solar panels will support Peabody’s carbon reduction targets while delivering tangible benefits for residents, including reduced electricity costs and improved energy efficiency.

All works are currently on programme, with positive feedback from the client and continued focus on safe, high-quality delivery in occupied residential environments.

Axis is proud to support Peabody in delivering practical, long-term improvements that enhance homes, reduce environmental impact, and improve outcomes for residents.
