Biodiversity

Biodiverse habitats are a sign of strong and sustainable communities. We are committed to making a positive and lasting impact on biodiversity and the local environment wherever we operate. Working closely with local communities is key to protecting natural spaces and by investing in environmental safeguarding, we help ensure that future generations can enjoy and benefit from thriving ecosystems.

Waste Reduction

The UK construction industry produces around a third of all waste. Poor waste management leads to overuse of raw materials, pollution of land and water, and overflowing landfills. Axis CLC prioritises managing waste properly on every project and in day-to-day operations. We help reduce the total waste generated and increase recycling and diversion rates.

Carbon Reduction

Carbon reduction is a key challenge in tackling the climate crisis. To reach Net Zero by 2045 with an ambitious near-term reduction target in 2030, we must lower emissions across our operations, supply chain, and the materials we use. This will only be possible through strong collaboration, ongoing training, and new ways of working driven by innovation.

Awareness

A company is made up of its people so when the people act responsibility, the company acts responsibly. That’s why we offer high quality, in-depth training for our employees. Changing behaviour often has a bigger impact than changing a process. That’s why we focus on the right training and work with trusted partners to build environmental awareness into our culture.

Procurement

With a large proportion of our carbon footprint linked to our supply chain, we recognise the importance of working closely with our suppliers to drive positive change. By collaborating, we aim to reduce emissions, improve data transparency and promote sustainable practices. Our commitment to responsible sourcing not only minimises environmental impact but also strengthens our supply chain resilience and aligns with our broader sustainability goals.
