Engaging With Our Local Supply Chain Through Waltham Forest Event
Axis recently brought together more than 80 prospective suppliers to employ and support local businesses at an event in Waltham Forest.
The presentation was led by Neil Watts, who gave an overview of Axis, highlighting our wide range of services, client base, core values and operations. He also outlined the process for becoming an approved supplier, emphasising the standards that underpin our successful delivery. This provided suppliers with a better understanding of opportunities available across our contracts.
Head of Social Impact, Kellie Turner, then provided an overview of Axis’ social value commitments and explained how suppliers can support economic growth across the local communities we work with.
The session prompted valuable discussions, with members of the Social Value Team learning about community initiatives previously delivered by local suppliers. These conversations highlighted opportunities to work more closely together to create positive outcomes within local communities.
The event concluded with a networking session, where Kellie Turner and Nikhita Jackson (Social Value Manager) spoke with attendees about future opportunities to get involved. Events like these play an important role in building relationships and encouraging face-to face collaboration.
The event was a great success, helping to strengthen partnerships, raise awareness of social value, and create opportunities for future supply chain collaboration.
Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to the success of the event. Take a look at the video below to find out more about the event.
