Volunteering

Through our volunteering programme, all Axis CLC people are entitled to take one working day every year to volunteer for an organisation of their choice. We believe in having a positive impact on our communities, as well as leaving a legacy as a business willing to provide the right tools to make a real difference.

Fundraising

Demelza cares for children facing serious or life-limiting conditions. They provide support for all the family from first diagnosis and for as long as they are needed, helping families create happy memories. Axis has supported the children’s hospice for over 22 years through donations from the Axis Foundation and our own volunteering and fundraising. Employees volunteered 175 hours to support the charity this year.

The Axis Foundation

The Axis Foundation is the charitable arm of Axis. We aim to provide support and opportunities to people, projects, and causes that make a positive, lasting impact on the communities we serve. Back in 2022 we hit the £2 million mark in donations to over 270 small, local, and impactful causes across 14 years of giving. And in 2025, we hit the £3m mark and our Founder John Hayes received an MBE for his services to charity.

Work Inspiration

Through our work inspiration programme, we provide a practical and inspiring insight into the world of work through placements, career talks, workshops, mentoring, and apprenticeships. We partner with schools, colleges, and universities across the UK to engage with people and showcase the construction industry as a leading career.

Community Funds

Through our social value commitments, we change communities for the better. It’s not just about creating projects that have a big impact, but rather working with our clients to understand what is valuable to their residents and the wider community.
