Axis Celebrates Black History Month 2024
Black History Month at Lewisham Park Towers
On Friday 25th October, Axis volunteers and representatives from local charity, ParentSkills2GO hosted an amazing Black History Month event at The Hub at Lewisham Park Towers.
The fun-filled event included music, stories, games and activities for residents and their families. Highlights included an African Drum Presentation, Sewing Crafts by Kemisola, Poem and Storytime with Residents and a ‘Match the Quotes’ game. The event was a resounding success with over 60 people in attendance from across all three tower blocks.
Joe Ibrahim, Projects Managing Director, attended the event and said, “It was a great afternoon. Very humbling!”
Debbie Fadare, Resident Liaison Officer, added, “The BHM event was a success. We were delighted with the number of residents in attendance”.
Well done to everyone involved, it was an amazing event celebrating black heritage and culture!
Black Excellence at Axis
