Axis’ Charity Quiz Night Raises £1677 for Demelza

On Friday 3rd November, Axis hosted a Charity Quiz Night at Sidcup Rugby Club raising an impressive £1,677 for our charity partner, Demelza.

The evening kicked off at 6:30pm with Axis employees, family, and friends engrossed in a series of quiz rounds and activities hosted by Managing Director Duo, Tim Hayes, and Joe Ibrahim. The atmosphere was vibrant and festive as participants showcased their knowledge to raise funds for our charity partner.

Tony Mantle, Operations Director organised the evening with the support of Marie Partner, Head of Business Development and Vera O’Driscoll, Community Investment Coordinator. Commenting on the event Tony said, “The Axis Quizzers came out in force to support our annual charity quiz, there were over a hundred people across 18 teams and the competition was fierce. Needless to say, a good time was had by all, plenty of eating, plenty of drinking and not forgetting plenty of cheating. They know who they are but we rumbled them and the cheats did not prosper! I really enjoy seeing people enjoy the night and most importantly donate that much needed money to the worthwhile charities that Axis supports”.

Marie added, “We were so delighted with the fantastic turn out, seeing everyone enjoying themselves, creating a fun-filled atmosphere. We thank everyone for their generosity on the night, all given in the True Axis Spirit for such a worthy cause”.

In addition to the quiz rounds, an exciting raffle took place featuring an array of prizes that were kindly gifted by Axis employees and partners. Prizes included a coffee machine, bottles of premium wine and champagne, a women’s designer watch, a luxurious perfume set by Stella McCartney, and a curated selection of Elemis Skin Care for Men.

Vera commented, “We raised an amazing amount for Demelza, and I want to thank everyone for their generosity on the night! I also would like to thank everyone who donated raffle prizes, it was very much appreciated. Our contributions will go a long way for the children and families that Demelza support!
