Axis Employees Help at Career Fair to Support Local Community

Axis Attend Peabody’s Careers & Volunteers Fair

Two of our Axis team members Lynn Miller, Senior Resident Liaison Officer, and James Cunningham, Customer Service Call Centre Manager, had the pleasure of attending Peabody’s Careers and Volunteers Fair in Thamesmead on the 11th of September.

Hosted by our client, the fair was aimed to support local people and provide opportunities for residents, communities and local businesses. It was a great way for us to share our business with residents and assist the community in overcoming any barriers to accessing local employment.

When asked about the event, Lynn said “It was a nice day meeting with the other contractors and residents, most enquiries were around administration/finance positions and apprenticeships.”

James also said “Lynn and I had a productive day speaking to residents from the local Southeast postcode area and further afield, about the many career opportunities at Axis. We had a large number of enquiries and expect a fair few CV’s to come in off the back of it. Residents also enjoyed the complimentary merchandise we provided including pens, miniature tape measures and USB sticks. All in all, it was a successful and rewarding day.”

Axis proudly attends recruitment events to share live employment and apprenticeship opportunities; with 10% of our workforce being apprentices, entry-level opportunities are very important to us.

Throughout September, October, and November, Axis representatives have been attending similar careers fairs such as Westminster’s Opportunities Fair on the 12th September.

Well done and thank you to all involved!
