Axis Europe Wins Solar PV, LED and Roof Repairs Contract with London Borough of Hounslow

Axis Europe has secured a new contract with the London Borough of Hounslow following a successful mini competition via the LHC Retrofit and Decarbonisation (N9) Framework, under Workstream 6 – Solar PV and Electrical.

The contract, valued at £330,000 will see Axis Europe deliver a programme of solar PV installation, LED lighting upgrades and roof repairs across four schools within the London Borough of Hounslow.

The award supports the council’s ongoing commitment to improving energy efficiency, reducing carbon emissions and maintaining safe, resilient public buildings.

Scope of Works

The contract includes the supply, installation, testing, commissioning and handover of the following works:

  • Installation of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems
  • Installation of energy-efficient LED lighting
  • Associated electrical works
  • Roof repairs at one school to support the safe installation of new systems

Benefits of the Works

The programme will deliver clear benefits for the client and building users, including:

  • Reduced carbon emissions through the use of renewable solar energy
  • Lower energy consumption and operational costs from LED lighting upgrades
  • Improved building safety and asset longevity through targeted roof repairs
  • Enhanced energy performance in line with local authority decarbonisation targets

About the Framework

The LHC Retrofit and Decarbonisation (N9) Framework is designed to support public sector organisations, including local authorities, housing providers and education estates, in delivering energy efficiency and decarbonisation programmes. The framework provides access to high-quality suppliers and supports clients in achieving net zero ambitions, improving EPC ratings and accessing grant funding.

Axis Europe was appointed under Workstream 6, which focuses on solar PV, battery storage, EV charging and associated electrical works, reinforcing Axis’s capability to deliver integrated, compliant and sustainable retrofit solutions across the public sector.
