Axis Nominated Twice at the SVLG Social Value Awards

Represented: Axis Proudly Nominated for 2 Projects at the SVLG Social Value Awards

On November 28th, 2 Axis projects had the honour of being recognised at the SVLG Social Value Awards. With Axis representatives delighted to attend the awards event in person at the British Museum.

The SVLG (Social Value Leadership Group) is a network of social value leads from over 50 housing associations, local authorities, and other organisations working with the housing sector.

The SVLG’s annual Supply-Chain Social Value Awards celebrate supply-chain partners who have shown a deep commitment to social value by delivering impactful projects, contributing resources, and creating opportunities within local communities.

This year, Axis was nominated in 2 categories – in ‘The Excellence Award (Best Social Value Champion)’ and in ‘Best Employment & Training Initiative’.

For the Excellence Award, Axis was nominated by L&Q for the work of the Hub at Lewisham Park Towers (LPT).

The Hub is a social and community space for the residents of LPT, as part of our social value delivery commitment with L&Q. The Hub aims to support the community through activities ranging from weekly coffee mornings to knitting classes to visits to the seaside. Axis has an incredible team of RLOs working hard at LPT who are dedicated to the community, such as Debbie Fadare.

For the Best Employment & Training Initiative, Axis was nominated by Peabody for sponsoring Mama Haven’s Canva Training course. We are honoured to be highly commended for this.

Mama Haven’s Canva Training workshops spanned across 6 weeks over Autumn and empowered local mothers to upskill in design and marketing to grow their businesses.

Annie, the course trainer, said ‘It was a joy teaching these ladies, they grew in confidence each week. By the end of the course, they all believed they could create the project or business they wished for!

Thank you so much to all the incredible Axis staff who made these nominations possible, it is an honour to have your hard work recognised – congratulations!
