Axis Shortlisted for Planet Mark Award

Axis Nominated as a Finalist in Planet Mark’s Supplier Engagement Category

We’re very pleased to share that Axis has been shortlisted for a Planet Mark Award in the Supplier Engagement Category!

This award comes shortly after the company has received a Planet Mark certification for the 3rd year in a row. Planet Mark is a sustainability certification that recognises continuous improvements, encourages action and builds an empowered community of like-minded organisations. To be certified with Planet Mark, we are required to measure and reduce annual carbon emissions associated with business operations by a minimum of 2.5% every year.

The Supplier Engagement Category award recognises an organisation that has taken impressive steps to engage with their supply chain and stakeholders; ensuring it is an integral part of their sustainability programme.

Oliver Refson, Head of Sustainability, said ‘Monitoring emissions is crucial to reaching Net Zero targets, but a fruitless endeavour if you’re not engaging your supply chain to tackle the growing Scope 3 Emissions. Working with EmitWise on their ProcureWise platform to engage and calculate supplier-specific emissions has been a great starting point for decoupling business growth from operational emissions.’

He added ‘It’s a privilege to be shortlisted within a host of ambitious organisations, all making great strides in sustainability. Looking forward to the Awards night!’

We’re so proud to be finalists in this category and want to say a special thank you to Oliver Refson and Daisy Foster-Chambers for their hard work in achieving this nomination!

It’s an honour to be recognised with other ambitious organisations making significant strides in sustainability.
