Axis Support Brentwoods Family Fun Days Throughout the Summer

Throughout the months of July and August, Axis attended 3 Fun Days in partnership with our client Brentwood Borough Council.

Every year throughout the summer, Brentwood Borough Council organised a series of fun days. Their main purpose is to bring together people of all ages and backgrounds. The Fun Days have a variety of entertainment, as a result keeping children and their families entertained during the summer break. Additionally, people can get to know the faces behind local businesses and organisations working within the community including us!

The first of six events took place at Doddinghurst Village Hall. It provided an affordable family day out utilising the Council’s open spaces across the Borough. Brentwood works directly with local partners and community organisations to make the day memorable for all. From fun fair rides to animal handling, there was something for everyone!

Clare Payne, Resident Liaison Manager represented Axis at the opening event and commented:

It was great to be at an event and see a lot of smiling, energetic children. We put on a competition that went over a treat. Design an Axis logo for the chance to win a £20 voucher. We were placed right next to the face painting stand which meant that the parents could queue while the kids coloured in the shade of the tent. There were some fantastic entries!

Every child got a lollipop for taking part and as we never forget the grown-ups, they were given a shopping trolley key and a pen. Axis volunteers including supervisors, engineers and admin staff were on hand to help out.

It was a very successful day for Brentwood Council, so much so that we ran out of logos to colour!”
