From 16th-26th March, Axis embraced the Great British Spring Clean initiative, igniting a series of impactful events across various communities. Collaborating closely with our clients, we orchestrated estate clean-up days that not only cleared clutter but also promoted responsible disposal practices.

16th March

  • Westminster City Council’s Community Mobile Recycling Day

         Supported by Mert Keklik, Site Supervisor

18th March

  • L&Q Resident Skip Day, Maroons Way in CatfordSupported by Kayleigh Xidhas, Contract Manager, Jessie Mason, Site Manager and Oliver Refson, Head of Sustainability. The team donated salvageable furniture to the local British Heart Foundation donation centre that was too good to throw away!
  • Riverside Litter Pick and Skip Day, Anson Road in West Bromwich

19th March

21st March

  • Kingston Resident Skip Day, Kingsnympton Park Estate in KingstonSupported by William Sanders, Site Manager, Saki Sackey, Apprentice Multitrader and Jasveen Grewal, CSR Intern

22nd March

  • L&Q Community Clean-up, Somerfield Street in South BermondseySupported by Jack Adams, Supervisor and Daisy Foster-Chambers, Sustainability Coordinator. With support from Enva and the Lewisham Environmental Enforcement team, residents enjoyed refreshments at the community centre while actively participating in waste reduction efforts. The client commented, “News of this event has been very popular with our local councillors, and we look forward to working collaboratively on similar initiatives in the future”.

26th March

  • Brentwood Resident Skip Day, Copperfield Gardens and Mayfield Gardens in BrentwoodPaul Glover, Senior Supervisor, James Zanelli, Supervisor, Dean Oldhamstead, Carpenter, Molly Swan, Scheduler and Jordana Drake, Customer Service Advisor

    Paul said, “When we got to site in the morning tenants soon started to bring an array of items and we gave help to those who needed it. It went very well with a good response from the tenants”.

Daisy Foster-Chambers, Sustainability Coordinator, who coordinated the initiative commented. “Witnessing the joy and gratitude from our clients affirmed the success of the initiative. Personally, volunteering at one of these skip days, I experienced firsthand the immense appreciation expressed by residents. It’s moments like these that remind us of the profound impact simple acts of kindness can have on our communities”.
