On Saturday, September 9th, ten dedicated members from our Projects Division, embarked on a remarkable journey along the Thames Path raising an impressive £2,255 for our corporate charity partner, Demelza.

The Thames Path Walk, tracing the course of England’s greatest river, served as a fantastic setting for this extraordinary challenge. Starting at Putney Bridge, the 25km path led the Axis team to the destination of Hurst Park in West Molesey.

Rositsa Kormeva, our Senior Contract Managershared her thoughts, ‘This was a difficult challenge especially due to the weather conditions and the heat. I’m really satisfied that I took part in it, and I felt proud that I have managed to complete it and raised money for such a great cause. It was great to be part of a team as we supported and encouraged each other while we were walking together.’

Barnaby Havercroft, our Divisional Commercial Manager, added, ‘It was a challenge not to be underestimated! And it happened to be on the hottest day of the year. But it was good fun and most importantly for a great cause!

Commenting on her experience, Cindy Nguyen, our Trainee Quantity Surveyor, said Taking part in the Thames Path Walk was a challenging yet rewarding experience in raising money for Demelza. It was great seeing our team come together to work towards a great cause.’

The heartfelt efforts of the Axis team, combined with the generous contributions of supporters, accumulated an impressive fundraising total of £2,255. These funds will go a long way in enabling Demelza to continue its vital work, ensuring that children receive the care they deserve.
