Project Details
Our heritage refurbishment programme at The Hurlingham Club, a 19th century neo-classic mansion, included general internal repairs and redecoration, as well repairs/replacement (timber and glass) and redecoration to external walls, windows and doors.
External works included timber and masonry render repairs. We re-rendered the exterior of the east elevation with Expanded Metal Lath (EML) and lime. Our team were also contracted to repair the copper on the atrium: however, on finding some of it beyond repair, we replaced a whole section of this famous local landmark. We also replaced coping stones. Additional works included replacement of guttering and downpipes. Finally, we painted the main house in period-appropriate cream paint to closely match the original colour of the 19th century building.
The Hurlingham Club is an exclusive, private club which remained open during all the works. Our team worked around all the major events and kept disruption for members to a minimum. We also worked through adverse winter weather conditions to keep to our schedule.
We have previously worked alongside Studio Gunn to deliver an extensive Window and Facade Renovation project for The Crown Estate at Regent’s University in London.
