On November 22nd, Axis hosted a Meet the Employer Event in partnership with our client, L&Q. The event featured Axis employees Victoria Basham, Head of HR, Joe Marshall, Customer Experience Manager, and Dimple Jamnadas, Recruitment Coordinator.

The panel-style event was a success, with Victoria, Dimple and Joe taking the stage to engage the audience. They provided a comprehensive overview of the company—its values, operations, the current Customer Service Advisor (CSA) vacancies, and our apprenticeship opportunities.

The interactive session included a Q&A segment, allowing attendees to directly inquire about the CSA roles and apprentice opportunities. Victoria mentioned that the audience actively participated in the discussion, showing a keen interest in the company and the roles it had to offer.

Moreover, it was revealed that four candidates stood out during the discussions and were invited to Axis’ CSA assessment centre. Dimple shared positive news regarding the recruitment efforts, disclosing that two Customer Service Advisors had been successfully recruited following their participation in the assessment centre held on November 24th.

Commenting on his experience, Joe said, “I found the L&Q work fair thoroughly worthwhile. It was a great opportunity to meet potential candidates and the interest in joining the Axis family from those that attended was more than I expected. I’m really looking forward to the next invitation”.

Abrar Qureshi, Employer Engagement Lead at L&Q also shared his thoughts –

The Meet the Employer Event was a good opportunity to bring our residents and Axis together to help bridge the gap between unemployment and make the opportunities more accessible for our service users. The event went really well, and we were able to fast track some of the candidates for the CSA roles on the day and consider the remainder for other opportunities. I look to forward to receiving the job start confirmations, measuring the social value we generate and delivering the next event in the New Year”.
