Shortlisted for Best Repairs and Maintenance Innovation at the Housing Innovation Awards 2026

We’re proud to announce that Axis has been shortlisted for the Best Repairs and Maintenance Innovation Award at the 2026 Housing Innovation Awards for our OpenSpace 360° visual intelligence technology that is reshaping how voids and property maintenance are delivered.

The Best Repairs and Maintenance Innovation Award recognise organisations taking an innovative approach to the day-to-day issue of housing stock maintenance and responding to repairs. Maintenance services that make full and effective use of their workforce, new and emerging technologies and the best products on the market.

Project

Piloted with Warwick District Council, the system cuts inspection times from one hour to 30 minutes, reduces site visits by a third, and speeds up getting homes ready for residents. High-resolution 360° walkthroughs provide a clear, verifiable record of each property, improving transparency, reducing disputes by over 33%, and strengthening compliance.

Following the successful pilot, the technology is now in use across PA voids and being introduced to future projects. This shortlisting recognises our commitment to innovation solutions that improve efficiency, reduce environment impact, and deliver better services for residents and landlords.
