Project Details

As property maintenance specialists, Axis delivered a series of planned cyclical maintenance works for Notting Hill Genesis (NHG) across multiple sites in West London, including St Mark’s Road, Longridge Road, and St Stephen’s Avenue. The programme included both structural and aesthetic refurbishments, with a focus on improving energy efficiency, safety, and resident satisfaction.

At St Mark’s Road, located in a heritage area, works included full roof renewal, upgraded loft insulation, window and floor replacements, asphalt renewal, and complete rendering of the building’s exterior. Additionally, a new access pathway was constructed to accommodate a disabled resident, ensuring the site met modern accessibility standards.

On Longridge Road, three buildings were refurbished with comprehensive external and internal upgrades. These included hammer testing and masonry repairs, new render, window and timber care, and full redecoration. The communal areas were also upgraded with new vinyl flooring. The roof received a liquid waterproof coating, chimney repairs, and installation of pigeon spikes to improve durability and hygiene.

St Stephens Avenue involved the refurbishment of 25 properties, where works included roof renewals, LPL overlays, SICA rendering, and detailed brick repairs. At the time of reporting, six properties were completed and ready for handover, with the remainder on track for timely delivery.

Benefits

  • Improved the energy efficiency
  • Future proofing
  • Modernised communal spaces
  • Enhanced safety measures
  • Improved comfort, functionality and aesthetic appeal
  • Better accessibility for our disabled residents

Resident Care

Putting residents first is at the heart of everything we do, therefore it was essential to provide clear communication with residents through regular written updates and have face to face contact. The property works resulted in significant improvements in thermal performance, building safety, and aesthetics. Residents expressed strong satisfaction, praising the professionalism of the Axis team and the quality of the results.

“Axis have done an incredible job from start to finish. The place looks like a brand, new place. I’m really, really impressed. The staff are incredible and they under promise, over deliver all the time. So yeah, really, happy. My family and I are happy and grateful for the work that’s been done.” – Resident One

“I’m very, very happy with the work that Axis employees have carried out. I would recommend Axis to other people.” – Resident Two
