Exceptional Apprenticeships: Axis Recognised with Award

On the 11th of February, during National Apprenticeship Week, Navlett Simei-Bent (Recruitment Manager), Rebekah Loftman (Recruitment Administrator), and Michelle Workman (Apprentice Co-ordinator) had the pleasure of representing Axis at Peabody’s Apprenticeship Awards.

Peabody’s Apprenticeship Awards are a celebration of outstanding young and mature talent shaping the industry for the future.

This year, Axis were selected as winner of the Supply Chain Partner of the Year award! This award recognises our commitment to apprenticeships and the positive impact we’ve had on our apprentices’ lives. It’s a true testament to the hard work and dedication of the teams at Axis and our apprentices who made this possible.

With 10% of our workforce in apprenticeship roles, we’ve supported 525+ apprentices with an 80% retention rate, offering 17 diverse apprenticeships from Multi-Trade to Data Analysis.

Over 5 years with Peabody, we’ve helped 18 apprentices grow, including:

• A plumber completing ahead of schedule

• A multi-trade apprentice moving into full-time work

• 4 quantity surveying apprentices ensuring contract accuracy

• A former asylum seeker thriving in his trade.

Navlett described it as ‘an inspirational evening celebrating emerging talent and industry contributions’.

A massive well done to all those pursuing apprenticeships, it’s a remarkable achievement and a stepping stone towards a bright future!
