This Christmas, in partnership with our supplier City Plumbing, we are proud to have supported 15 organisations through sponsorship and volunteering efforts. Read on to find out how we’ve helped spread the gift of giving over the festive season.

We are proud to have been able to spread the gift of giving this Christmas, we supported 15 organisations through sponsorship and volunteering efforts. Read on to find out how.

A2 Dominion Group:

  • £2,000 donation to Christmas Gifts Programme

Providing elderly and vulnerable residents with gift vouchers/gift bags this Christmas. This project brings a little happiness to often very lonely residents who do not have family and/or friends.

Ambition Aspire Achieve:

  • £2,000 donation to Christmas Toy Appeal

Providing Newham’s most disadvantaged, vulnerable and at-risk children with a Christmas stocking of new gifts specific to their age, needs, and abilities.

​​​​​​​Being a mother of two I know the magic and joy getting a present from Santa can have, so knowing that some children will get their first ever gift from Santa made me add some extra love to their Christmas bag – Daniela Postolachi, HR Administrator​​​​​​​

Brentwood Borough Council:

  • £150 donation to The Daily Bread Café

Providing the craft group at The Daily Bread Café with the gift of giving. We provided craft materials to make things to sell at the Christmas markets in Shenfield and Brentwood. All money raised will go back into the Daily Bread to support those struggling with loneliness and isolation.​​​​​

Estuary Housing Association:

  • £500 donation to Christmas Appeal

Providing vulnerable residents with an e-gift voucher to purchase a gift of their choice this Christmas. This will be match-funded by Estuary to reach a wider audience.

Metropolitan Thames Valley Housing Association:

  • £500 donation to Christmas Appeal

Providing disadvantaged children and families with Christmas Hampers, a hot meal and additional support to local food banks to meet the increased demand over the festive period.

Onward:

  • £50 donation to Christmas Raffle. Providing 5 x £10 Love2shop gift vouchers as raffle prizes raising funds for Halton Haven Hospice and Camp Project Wales.

Optivo:

  • £1,000 donation to Big Give Christmas Campaign

Providing Thrive Domestic Abuse Counselling Service with a donation to support domestic abuse survivors of all ages who have fled abuse and are living in refugees or within communities in Kent.

The Axis Sittingbourne Team have also donated toys to Optivo’s Christmas Hamper Appeal and Demelza Children’s Hospice. A special mention goes to our subcontractor BJL Electrical who donated £250 towards the donations along with £450 raised from scrap metal and Axis employees.

The families who received the hampers have already messaged saying how grateful they are to receive such amazing things and how it’s made their Christmas, and taken some of the pressure off, so thank you! – Shona Matson, Health & Wellbeing Officer at Optivo

Peabody:

  • £2,000 donation to Toy & Food Hamper Appeal

Providing disadvantaged children and families with gifts and food to wake up to on Christmas morning. Our Axis team helped wrap and deliver gifts to 67 households in and around Hackney.

At a time when many families struggle to cope financially, your generosity and act of kindness by supporting the appeal means that lots of children will have something to look forward to opening on Christmas day – Stephen Burns, Executive Director at Peabody

Riverside:

  • £100 donation to Christmas competitions

Providing 2 x £50 hampers as prizes for two competitions in the client’s December newsletter including a colouring competition for children and decorating your door for adults.

Thurrock Council:

  • £500 donation to Friends of Essex & London Homeless (FOELH) & Give A Gift

Providing FOELH with a donation towards their Christmas Rucksack Appeal for clients at local soup kitchens and supporting Thurrock with ‘Give A Gift’ – promising to give gifts to Thurrock children, known to children’s services teams.

The Axis Thurrock Team have also donated £200 worth of teddy bears for Seakbrooke Rise’s Christmas Charity Event for MacMillan Cancer Charity.

Walsall Housing Group:

  • £300 donation to Christmas Charity Walk

Supporting this year’s annual walk from Walsall to Birmingham with all proceeds going to the Black Country Foodbank.

Warwick District Council:

  • £300 donation to Leamington and Warwick Foodbank. Providing emergency food, toiletry supplies and clothing to those less fortunate this Christmas.

Westminster City Council:

  • £1,500 donation to Christmas Hampers

Purchasing 100 hampers for vulnerable residents over the age of 80. Axis’ Joseph Alderton, Maria Romero, Danut Paizan and Kenneth Williams helped deliver the hampers to residents in time for Christmas.
