Wear It Pink Day Celebrations Fundraise £1000+ for Breast Cancer Now

Axis Fundraising for Breast Cancer Now Sees Amazing Total on Wear It Pink Day

On Wednesday 16th and Monday 22nd October, Axis celebrated ‘Wear It Pink Day’!

‘Wear It Pink Day’ is an annual fundraising day in October (Breast Cancer Awareness Month) for Breast Cancer Now. The charity supports individuals living with breast cancer in the UK. With over 55,000 people diagnosed every year, Breast Cancer Now is on a mission that everyone diagnosed with breast cancer lives and is supported to live well by 2050.

The whole Axis team across all offices were encouraged to wear pink in support of those affected by breast cancer and came through with some amazing outfits!

Employees in Stratford had the opportunity to get involved with a pink bake sale which made its way through the office on a fun decorated trolley! They also had the opportunity to guess the weight of the cake. Employees in Sittingbourne also had the opportunity to wear pink and get involved with their own bake sale!

Thank you so much to Katie Hayes, Vera O’Driscoll and Nancy Shrigley for their fantastic work in organising and running the day in their offices. With a shoutout to Jessica Sczerzbinski in the Stratford Office, her guess for the cake of 1.23kg was nearly spot-on, with the cake weighing in at 1.22kg!

We’re thrilled to announce that our Stratford office raised a total of an amazing £516.37 and our Sittingbourne office raised a total of a wonderful £520! Raising £1036.27 altogether – well done team, that’s incredible!
