Work begins on New Peabody Trust Heritage Contract

Home>News>Heritage News>Work begins on New Peabody Trust Heritage Contract

Our Heritage division has begun work on a new £540,000 contract with our client, Peabody.

The Peabody Group owns and manages more than 66,000 homes across London and the South East. They also have over 18,000 care and support customers.

The project will see our team deliver a varied scope of work within the communal spaces of nine-story flats, one called Arden House. This comes alongside refurbishments to two cores, a ground floor bike store, a bin store, and a plant room.

The team will be employing specialist contractors to replace the playground on the roof, we will also be providing metal replacements to the roof. Our team will then replace metalworks on the ground floor (which includes the gates and fencing for the stores, and flood void). We will also reconfigure the ground floor, including a new caretaker’s room. Finally, we will provide new glazed shop fronts. The work requires the use of a hoist to the rear of the Peabody property, for materials.

The project for Peabody is not due to be phased, but there will be some logistical challenges that we need to overcome as we are working in the communal spaces and around entrance lobbies.
