L&Q Fire Safety Upgrade

L&Q Housing Association has commissioned Axis for Fire Safety Upgrade Works.

These major works are to 200 general needs and leasehold flats in three tower blocks in Lewisham Park, south-east London. The scope of works here includes the installation of Sprinkler System and general Fire Safety upgrade works as well as communal electrical upgrades and the replacement of boilers and flues. The works will also see internal and external decorations including removal of polymer coatings.

Over 440 residents are being decanted whilst Sprinkler Systems and boilers are installed in their homes. They will all be recanted back to their homes when these works are completed. The value of this Fire Safety Upgrade contract is £10m. Works are expected to last 70 weeks.
