Axis successfully delivered training centre maintenance and external works at Hendon Training Centre, for the Metropolitan Police. Our public sector team took on the scope of works in this 8-week project.
The team began with minor demolition work, following the relocation of the existing reception and security modular buildings. The team also carefully dismantled the existing gates, barrier, turnstile and electrical control cabinet.
We then relocated and then reassembled each element into a specified location. We put up a new security perimeter fence alongside security gates and barriers. These were fitted along with the associated electrical works. We then installed a Klargester cesspit drainage system.
The public sector team also undertook various groundwork, including a tarmac surfaced car park, lining and directional signage. We organised the necessary communication with the appropriate authorities regarding the disconnection, removal and relocation of the services prior to the demolition and reconstruction works.
We worked through a daily operational environment with minimal disruption to the premises. This was consciously maintained, in order for the continuity of the services to the occupied areas whilst the works were taking place. Our team completed the training centre maintenance project with a general site cleanup and painting and decorative works, as well as providing new road markings to the site.
