Hosting L&Q Residents for an Employability Skills Day

We hosted an Employability Day for L&Q residents to boost employability skills and equip them to pursue careers in the sector. Over 20 residents joined us for a day of workshops at our London Division, including:

• An introduction to life as an apprentice + Q&A with current apprentices
• Construction skills taster, including plumbing, painting, drilling and electrical
• Interview advice and preparation
• CV development and design support

These workshops allowed residents to seek advice regarding job applications and interviews, as well as explore various roles across the industry. When surveyed, 80% of attendees said they had improved their CV writing and interview skills.

We are grateful to partner with L&Q to support their residents in building vital employability skills. Our aim is to provide residents with advice that will allow them to successfully pursue careers in the industry and attain long-term employment.
