Axis Sponsors Brentwood’s Civic Dinner

Axis recently sponsored £4,000 towards the Brentwood Civic Awards hosted by the Mayor of Brentwood, Cllr Gareth Barrett.

The awards took place on Friday 5^th April at Hutton Masonic Hall and were an opportunity to celebrate stars of Brentwood who have dedicated their time and resources to great projects, charities, groups and clubs in Brentwood and the surrounding area.

The winners and their guests were invited to a black-tie awards evening which included a 3-course sit-down meal and entertainment to celebrate what they have achieved. There were a diverse range of award categories including the esteemed Mayor’s Recognition Awards, Service to the Community, and Lifetime Achievement accolades.

We were represented by Christopher Houlihan, Stephen Hardy, Clare Payne, and Kellie Turner, and we were delighted to extend invitations to members of Brentwood Borough Council’s Housing Team to share our table.

Commenting on the event, Christopher shared – “Whilst celebrating the mayor’s service, we also celebrated the contributions of local groups and individuals over the past year, including one who raised £130,000 for local charities. Some very worthy causes were supported through these groups and individuals. It was a really good night and an opportunity to meet with other Mayors and civic officers from across Essex to promote the Axis profile. The night ended with a live singer and dancing…the Mayor even sanctioned some impromptu karaoke at the close!”
