Axis wins multiple Lots on LHC frameworks

Axis awarded multiple places on LHC’s many frameworks

Fire Safety (2024- 2028)

Lot 5 Installation Active Fire Protection / Lot 9 Cladding Remediation / Lot 10 Multi-Disciplinary – Installation / Lot 11 Multi Disciplinary – Testing, Service, Maintenance

Works won

Via Axis’ presence on LHC’s Fire Safety framework (2024- 2028), Winchester City Council awarded Axis a Passive fire protection works contract (including Type 2 Compartmentation Surveys) to 100 flats with a value of c£300k. Works are due to start in May 2025.

Retrofit and Decarbonisation (N9) (2024-2028)

Axis was awarded the following Lots for UK-wide works on LHC’s £120m Retrofit and Decarbonisation (N9) framework (2024-2028).

  • Workstream 3 Building Insulation: Lot 8 Internal Insulation; Lot 9 Loft Insulation; Lot 10 Cavity Wall Insulation; and Lot 11 External Wall Insulation
  • Workstream 4 Heating and Ventilation Systems: Lot 14 Domestic Boiler Based Heating Systems; Lot 16 Commercial & Communal Heating Systems; Lot 17 District & Network Heating Systems; and Lot 18 Electrical Heating Systems
  • Workstream 5 Building Control and Management Systems: Lot 20 Building Management Systems
  • Workstream 6 Solar PV and Electrical: Lot 22 Solar PV and Battery Storage; and Lot 23 EV Charging

The new Retrofit and Decarbonisation (N9) framework is the successor to the Energy Efficiency Measures & Associated works (N8) framework, and supports local authorities, housing associations, education and other public sector organisations in delivering a range of energy efficiency and decarbonisation works helping them with the challenge of achieving net zero and improving the EPC ratings of their stock.

Refurbishment and Modernisation (2024-2028)

On this new (2024) 4-year framework we were awarded the following Lots, disciplines and locations:

  • Kitchens and Bathrooms (Lot 2 £500,000 – £2m and Lot 3 £2m+) – North West, East and West Midlands
  • Electrical Works (Lot 4 to £500,000 and Lot 5 £500,000+) North West, East and West Midlands, Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire, Essex, North and South London and Kent
  • Painting and Decorating (Lot 6 up to £500,000 and Lot 7 £500,000+) North West, East and West Midlands, Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire, Essex, North and South London, East and West Surrey and Kent
  • Environmental and External Works (Lot 8)- North West, East and West Midlands, Surrey East and West Sussex
  • Multi-Disciplinary Works (Lot 11 £2.5m +) North West, East and West Midlands

Asset Safety and Compliance (2023-2027)

LHCs Asset Safety and Compliance (ASC1) Framework is split into  5 Workstreams: 1 Asbestos Consultancy, Surveys and Removal;  2 Property Protection and Associated Services; 3 Water Testing Treatment and Management; 4 HVAC (Air Conditioning) Servicing and Maintenance; 5 Electrical Fixed Wire Testing and Associated Elements.

LHC awarded us Lot 5 Water Hygiene & Testing, Lot 8 Gas Heating, Inspections & Servicing and Lot 11 EICR throughout London Essex and the Home Counties.

Roofing (2021-2025)

Axis has won a place on LHC’s roofing framework. The framework  provides the supply and installation of pitched roof coverings by specialist roofing contractors. And scope of works will include roof repairs, structural repairs and other pitched roofing works with a supported design service.

Lot 4 covers all of the UK including key areas where Axis is already well established and/or has local offices.

Essential works comprise the removal of existing roof coverings, survey and design; supply and installation of pitched roof covering systems including concrete, clay roof tiles, slates and underlay, (including battens); and general scaffolding design and erection as per the building type.

Optional works include flat to pitch conversions and associated roofing and building works including rainwater goods, soffits and fascia boards, timber repairs, PVC-U cover trims and boarding, loft insulation, Renewable Energy Technologies (i.e. solar photovoltaic panels) and liquid parapet guttering systems.

This is a 4-year Framework Agreement which commenced on 24 May 2021 (ending 23 May 2025).

PLUS We are additionally on LHC’s Whole House Refurbishment WH2 framework (2020-2024).
