Over 23 million people visit intu Derby (now called Derbion) every year, and it needed a fresh coat of paint and a new look, fit for a modern shopping centre. Our large-scale refurbishment works were conducted mainly out of shopping hours and included a full redecoration of this modern building with a complex interior structure which required specialist equipment. The refurbished shopping centre is more attractive to its many shoppers and commercial tenants.

In a short turnaround, we worked out of shopping hours and through many nights so as not to interrupt the flow of visitors. We deployed specialist (spider access) equipment to access the hard-to-reach parts of the building. Ornate crowns in the atrium were given special decorative treatment. We took great care to clear up so the centre could stay open for business.
