Axis wins new Cladding Management Contract with London’s Tower Hamlets Community Housing

Axis has won a new management contract with Tower Hamlets Community Housing for the delivery of remedial re-cladding works at high-rise residential block Verdigris Apartments.

Verdigris Apartments is in Copperfield Lane Bethnal Green, London E2 and comprises 45 full occupied apartments.

The works will comprise the removal of all existing copper, timber and aluminium cladding systems back to the steel framing system (SFS) inner leaf and the full reinstatement of new sheathing board, insulation and copper, timber effect and aluminium rainscreen systems as well as ancillary renewal works. In addition we will be removing laminated glazed balcony balustrades and replacing them with metal balustrades with vertical metal balusters; and removing timber decking and soffits to balconies and fully reinstating timber effect soffit cladding and aluminium decking.

During the works we will be providing safe working access to both blocks which will remain fully occupied by THCH residents throughout.

The contract is valued at £4m and will take place over 78 weeks.
