The blocks are Verdigris Apartments and Claremont Court, both in Copperfield Lane Bethnal Green, London E2.
The works will comprise the removal of all existing copper, timber and aluminium cladding systems back to the steel framing system (SFS) inner leaf and the full reinstatement of new sheathing board, insulation and copper, timber effect and aluminium rainscreen systems as well as ancillary renewal works. And in addition, the removal of laminated glazed balcony balustrades and replacement with metal balustrades with vertical metal balusters; and removal of timber decking and soffits to balconies and full reinstatement with timber effect soffit cladding and aluminium decking.
During the works we will be providing safe working access to both blocks which will remain fully occupied by THCH residents throughout.
The contract is valued at £4m and will take place over 78 weeks.
