Project Details
Axis was employed by L&Q for planned and cyclical external improvements and decorations at Wandsworth Plains housing properties.
The site consists of around 98 apartment properties (1950s), housing over 200 residents. We have worked in partnership with L&Q for the past 10 years, having just completed the Stonewall and Winsor Terrace which entailed works across 87 Properties.
Axis delivered the project across 2 phases, which began at the Wandsworth Plain properties and ended on Armoury Way. The project came with multiple challenges, including finding location for storage and site set up as well as material drop off.
The team delivered specific works such as asbestos surveys, window renewals, new fascia, soffits boards and new rainwater goods on the apartments.
Axis took into consideration elements of the property that could be improved. A CSI plan was complete to turn a garden area into a vegetable garden for residents to start a gardening club.
Monthly newsletters were sent out to keep all residents up to date on the works, including contact details if they were to have any further issues or questions. The team have donated an outdoor bench for the resident’s garden.
