Project Details

Axis was awarded a three-year cyclical housing repairs contract by Gravesham Borough Council. The contract assured the delivery of redecoration and repairs (including works to communal areas) to council-owned properties in Kent. We won this contract because of our high level of performance on a previous, four-year cyclical repairs contract with Gravesham in 2016. 

We secured this contract because of our membership on the SEC Internal and External Building Works framework. Our housing division oversaw the external and communal repair and redecoration works across an estimated 2,000 properties. The team worked on buildings which included a mixed stock such as blocks of flats and maisonettes, houses, bungalows and residential care homes throughout the area, in Kent.   

Our new scope of works includes a variety of external and internal jobs. We covered work to the external brick walls such as the removal of ivy, repairs, render and pebble dashing. Our team will also provide a programme of external cleaning. We will also undertake asbestos survey’s and its subsequent removal, alongside roofing works.  

The team will provide a range of maintenance works. This includes all garage doors and roofs, and comes with the repair of guttering and downpipes, as well as other exterior features like fascia and soffits. Internal works include repairs and maintenance to communal areas like corridors and the communal lounges. Our team will also provide maintenance of common areas such as stairwells and balconies.  

Further to this cyclical housing repairs contract, Axis has also been awarded a 26-week contract to restore and repaint external masonry across Gravesham Borough Council stock. This will commence immediately after these works.
