Project Details
Axis was employed by our client, The Crown Estate, for a programme of external decoration works at this Grade II listed property. The building currently houses an office for UK consumer choice company ‘Which?’. It is located on Marylebone Road in the heart of London, a stone’s throw from Regents Park. This project comes as part of planned and cyclical decorations and improvements.
Our heritage division delivered the works which included decorations to the external of the property and the boundary railings. The team provided a jet wash of all previously painted areas, we were also required to jet wash surfaces prior to application. As part of our external decoration works, we applied remedial repairs and easing to all timber windows on the property. Our team also washed out the PVC elements along with jetting the existing rainwater outlets.
We were required to use a specific paint colour, called for by the client. Our partners, Dulux, made the colour (Regents Park Cream) which is applied to all masonry owned by the Crown in this area. We utilised a picker for this project, to ensure full coverage on the rear of the building for wash downs. Our 10-week programme was broken down into facades, allowing us to drop scaffolds to elevations once complete. Our heritage team provided a quick and exemplary service for the client.
