Project Details

Elmhurst Mansions comprises 20 Victorian blocks of apartments situated on a residential street.

Axis delivered a range of planned external works which began with asbestos surveys. We conducted roof works as well as installing new timber heritage-style windows to the properties, alongside new fascia and soffit boards and rainwater goods.

To improve efficiencies, our gas engineer worked in synchronisation with our window fitters and roofers. To aid our programme of works, we utilized a designed combination of scaffolding, aluminium towers and cherry pickers.

Each block at Elmhurst Mansions contains five apartments. To minimise disruption to Elmhurst Mansions 200 residents, we delivered our planned external works programme in phases working on five blocks (25 apartments) at a time, taking an average of 10-12 weeks to complete each phase.
