Festive Giving
Axis Supported 14 Christmas Campaigns in 2022
During the Christmas period we partnered with Travis Perkins, City Plumbing and Axis subcontractors to support 14 campaigns through funding, in-kind donations, and volunteering. Read on to find out how our festive giving support has helped provide food and gifts to those most vulnerable!
- £2,000 donation towards resident Christmas Gifts Programme
Providing elderly and vulnerable residents with gift vouchers/gift bags this Christmas. This project brings a little happiness to often very lonely residents who do not have family and/or friends.
- £2,000 donation to Newham Christmas Toy Appeal
Providing Newham’s most disadvantaged, vulnerable and at-risk children with a Christmas stocking of new gifts specific to their age, needs, and abilities. 14 Axis volunteers helped sort and pack gifts for 250 families at the warehouse on 20th December.
This year we helped ensure 3,300 children received toys for Christmas morning. We could not have done it without your generous support. You have truly helped us make a magical Christmas for children living in Newham who need it the most – Jonny Boux, CEO at AAA

- £650 donation to Demelza’s Christmas Appeal
Providing Demelza children and families with gifts from their Amazon Wishlist to fulfil specific Festive Wishes. A special mention goes to our subcontractor, BJL Electrical who kindly donated £250 towards the donations along with £400 raised from annual scrap metal money.
- £500 donation to Christmas Appeal
Providing vulnerable residents with an e-gift voucher to purchase a gift of their choice this Christmas. This will be match-funded by Estuary to reach a wider audience.

- £489.25 donation to Christmas Appeal
Providing Christmas Sacks of food and toys to Optivo families in Kent facing financial hardship.
- £300 donation to Christmas Winter Warmer Packs and £250 donation to Festive Warm Hub & Foodbank
Providing residents aged 70 and over with festive food and gifts, along with flasks, fleece blankets and mini hot water bottles to help keep them warm during the winter months.
Angeli Bal, Trainee Administrator also volunteered to support Riverside’s Christmas Grotto on 21st December. She said, It was a pleasure volunteering. I had a great time helping and preparing the Grotto for the children.
- £250 donation to Community House Christmas party, £250 donation to GiveAGift Campaign and £150 donation to Christmas Dinner in a Bag initiative
Providing residents known to Thurrock’s Children’s Services and Financial Inclusion teams with gifts and food items this Christmas. Richard Kemp, Project Manager, Jessica Ashton, Resident Liaison Manager and Emmanuel Adeyeye, RLO also helped to deliver hampers to Thurrock residents on 20th December.
Thank you for your generous gift donations – they were overwhelmingly wonderful and have been used to make sure that some children in need have a lovely Christmas morning. - £2,360 raised for St Basils from WHG Charity Walk
Leanne Ball, Operations Director and Jodie Shepherd, Customer Service Manager joined 60 WHG colleagues and contractors to walk 11 miles from Walsall to Birmingham on 15th December in memory of WHG’s Paul Dockerill.

- £300 donation to Leamington and Warwick Foodbank
Providing emergency food, toiletry supplies and clothing to those less fortunate this Christmas.
A huge thank you to all contractors for your donations. We raised a fantastic £3,000 which was gratefully received by the foodbank – Teresa Gray, Business Manager at D&K Heating Services Ltd
- £1,500 donation to Seasonal Gift Card Initiative
Providing WCC’s most vulnerable residents with a gift card during the festive season.
