Providing Advice and Guidance at a Green Careers Clarion Event in Bolton

Recently, Steve Rose, Divisional Manager, attended a Green Futures Event delivered by Clarion Housing to raise awareness of careers in the growing sustainability sector.

The event addressed the increasing demand for skilled workers needed to support the UK's transition to more energy efficient homes. It highlighted the growing need for professionals in areas such as solar installation, heat pumps, insulation, energy efficiency, and domestic retrofit assessment.

Attendees learned more about the variety of career pathways, from apprenticeships and training courses to professional qualifications within sustainability. Participants also had the opportunity to speak directly with local employers, gaining valuable insights into the skills needed to succeed in green industries.

Steve Rose spoke about Axis CLC’s Healthy Homes (Voids) initiative and how we are using innovative technology to help ensure residents live in safe and damp-free homes. He also contributed to discussions on the impact of Awaab's Law, alongside representatives from other businesses. These conversations highlighted the growing need for professionals who can identify and address damp and mould issues, helping to improve living conditions for tenants.

The event received positive feedback from attendees, with many reporting a greater understanding of the pathways into green careers.

At Axis CLC, we believe in the importance of sustainable practices and fostering a positive impact on the environment. Events such as these play an important role in building awareness of sustainable careers and addressing industry skills shortages.

Thank you to our partners at Clarion for inviting us to attend. We greatly value this partnership and the positive social and environmental impact we are creating together.

It was a personal pleasure to be invited to join our industry partners collaborating with residents to champion green and sustainable housing technology and innovation.

It underscores why well-maintained, sustainable homes matter more than ever for resident well-being. Axis/CLC are proud to support these efforts, building better, greener communities together.
