New FRA contract with Hyde Group

Home>News>Housing News>New FRA contract with Hyde Group

Our longstanding client The Hyde Group is investing significantly in fire safety-related works and has developed a bespoke Framework to allow easier access to service providers to deliver fire safety-related works.

The Hyde Group is one of the largest housing associations working in England, owning or managing circa 50,000 homes in London, Kent, Surrey, Sussex, Hampshire, the East of England and East Midlands. They provide homes and services to over 95,000 customers. Hyde’s stock is of mixed tenure, including general needs residents, vulnerable/ elderly residents and a high proportion of leaseholders.

Hyde’s Framework will ensure best practice; innovation; that customer service and resident engagement are at the heart of fire safety works, and that the Framework is adaptable to meet the diverse and changing needs across the sectors in which it operates.

Having been accepted on to the Framework, Axis was invited to tender for, and were successful in winning, the following Lots: Fire Doors; Fire Safety Signage; Emergency Lighting; Fire Proofing and Stopping; Electrical Inspection and Testing; Electrical Works and Cladding.

Scope of works

The scope of works will include supply, installation, removal, and repair of fire doors; installation, removal, and design of fire safety signage; installation, removal, and maintenance of emergency lighting; provision of fire stopping works and services; provision of cyclical and reactive electrical testing, servicing, and maintenance services; and the supply and installation of cladding.

Axis is able to provide examples of our proven experience for each Lot across a variety of different properties from bungalows to high rise buildings. We were also asked to submit examples of where we had delivered deliver value, innovation and the highest standards of quality and safety and also where we had added value and efficiency through our integrated approach and high-quality services.

Our responses – illustrating our recent works with our contracts with Peabody, Swan, Estuary and Hackney Homes, for example, as part of our wider FRA works – provided detailed examples of our successes in terms of delivery, value, efficiency and safety. Our evidence spanned from replacing intumescent strips to complete building cladding.
