Axis Team Supports Football Tournament In Aid Of Young Westminster Foundation
On the 22nd October, ten Axis employees took part in the Lord Mayor’s Charity Football Cup in support of the Young Westminster Foundation.
The tournament raised money for the Brighter Futures Fund, which supports young people aged 0-25 across Westminster. The Young Westminster Foundation provides support networks for those facing physical and mental health problems, encourages skills development and responds to local needs. These services are accessible to all young people across the borough, including those with additional needs and groups who face difficult barriers.
The Young Westminster Foundation’s CEO highlighted the impact of the event:
“The Charity Cup has raised an incredible £16,000 which will help local organisations deliver life-changing opportunities for young people. We are grateful to all the teams for their fantastic community spirit and their generous contributions."
Axis contributed over £2,000 towards this total, with the support of four of our supply chain partners:
- Sure Security Solutions
- City Restoration
- Eve Wise Property Maintenance
- A-Z Group
We are incredibly proud of our team of volunteers for their enthusiasm, teamwork and commitment throughout the tournament. Despite the match results, our team remained positive and determined throughout the day. As the only mixed team taking part, our team highlighted Axis CLC’s inclusive and diverse teamwork value.
A huge thank you to our volunteers, supply chain partners and the London Tigers for organising such a worthwhile event. This fundraising initiative will deliver a positive, lasting impact for young people across Westminster.
