Supporting KidsOut at Clarion AIP Volunteering Day

We recently joined our client, Clarion Housing Group, for a volunteering day in support of KidsOut in Luton!

KidsOut operates nationally, providing support to over 20,000 children living in 650 women’s refuges after fleeing domestic abuse. They provide vulnerable children with a box of toys upon arrival to support them as they transition into their new home. KidsOut also provides support to other disadvantaged children across the UK through day trips, toys and wellbeing experiences.

Two Axis CLC team members joined a volunteering day at KidsOut’s warehouse organised by Clarion Futures, Clarion’s charitable foundation, as part of our social value commitments. The day brought members of Clarion’s Asset Investment Partnership (AIP) together to build relationships and improve our collaboration while supporting an important initiative.

The AIP comprises supply chain contractors Axis, Cardo Group, Equans, United Infrastructure and WPS, delivering community impact alongside long-term property repairs and maintenance programmes. Across the day, the team of 8 volunteers were able to:

  • Unpack and organise 16 large bags of donations
  • Sort 1,338 toys into age-appropriate categories
  • Package 272 toy boxes for children and young people rehoused due to domestic abuse

Thank you to Clarion Futures for organising an incredible day to support KidsOut in their mission and strengthen our ties with fellow AIP members!

It was great to join Clarion’s AIP volunteering day to support KidsOut. The KidsOut team were incredibly welcoming, and it was wonderful to see the dedication and passion they bring to their work. I’m glad to have been able to work with members from Clarion’s other partner organisations and help to support the essential work of KidsOut.
