Project Details
Axis successfully completed a full washroom refurbishment for our client, Cushman and Wakefield. The project included refurbishments for twelve washrooms across five floors of occupied office space and adds to our Commercial portfolio. The property at 95 Queen Victoria Street is located in the City of London.
Our team took on a scope of works that included stripping out all of the existing facilities. That meant we deconstructed the cubicles and took down the walls. Our team also completed this as part of the remodelling, and to expose the plumbing for further maintenance. We also removed the ceilings to access any of the electricals that required upgrading.
The next stage saw the team begin to install new elements. We introduced new flooring, walls, ceilings, lighting and vanity units as well as cubicles. The cubicles were plumbed with modern sanitary ware. We created a new shower facility alongside a secure cycle storage area in the basement. As part of the washroom refurbishment, we also restored the connecting corridor. Our Painting and Decorating division provided a high-end finish to the hallway.
Project Challenges
As one of the City of London’s important heritage locations, 95 Queen Victoria Street houses numerous financial organisations. So ensuring our works at the prestigious office building caused no disruption was imperative. We phased the project, with works across the floors scheduled and the noisier deconstruction and removal of waste could take place out-of-hours.
