Project Details

Axis was employed by the Peabody Trust to deliver a programme of external improvements at Arden House. We delivered these works at multiple spaces within the area, which encompassed a total of 62 properties. This included the communal areas of 9 story flats, as well as ground floor bike storage, bin storage areas, commercial spaces, and plant rooms.

The team delivered ground floor metal works to ground floor areas. This included gates and fencing for the bike and bin stores, we also provided flood voids. Alongside this, we completed a full ground floor reconfiguration service. We also built a new caretaker’s room and provided new glazed shop fronts to reinvigorate the commercial spaces. We helped complete a rooftop playground renewal within the contract, hiring specialist contractors to deliver the replacement play area.

Our team utilised a hoist to the rear of the building, in order to transport working materials. In addition, we delivered demolition works within the remit of this external improvements project. We faced various logistical challenges, working within communal spaces and entrance lobbies. Our resident facing team ensured positive communication with residents.
