Project Details

Axis successfully carried out a full programme of flat refurbishments within this refurbishment and conversion project for The Hyde Group. Works were delivered to a mixture of properties, including bedsits and flats. Our team transformed the buildings into 5 flats, all completed to a high-quality finish. Our Client The Hyde Group is a prominent housing association based in London and is part of the G15 group.  

Axis’ housing division completed a full strip-out of the apartments. We began with demolition works, which were carried out throughout, to a shell and core base. This included structural alterations and renewals. The team remodelled the properties under a new design and moved on to a programme of internal and external refurbishments.  

We provided a structural re-build of ground floor extensions to create new living space. Our team also covered fit-outs for both kitchens and bathrooms, which included new floors and ceilings. Within each kitchen, we installed the necessary appliances. We also fitted all of the internal windows and doors. The team then went on to improve the communal entranceways, stairs, and landings.

We completed a schedule of exterior jobs which included the refurbishment of facias, soffits and bargeboards. The team implemented security and access control across the building, which was completed by our Mechanical and Electrical division. We also completed the refurbishment of each flats’ rear extension. Our team finalised the works with a full roof refurbishment, which included coverings and replacement. 

Our team then took on a programme of ancillary works within the flat refurbishment. We provided new drainage alterations, in line with our work on the toilets and showers. We also installed new water meters for the properties. The team completed further internal works including gas installations. We also delivered some ancillary external jobs, with the construction of fencing. The project was completed with landscaping work.
