Project Details
Axis was employed by our new client, Cadogan Estates, to take on this heritage property maintenance and repairs project. The project took place at their vacant residential building in Chelsea, West London. Cadogan is a distinguished property manager as well as an investor and developer with a 300-year history in the West London area.
Our team had a scope of works that included essential maintenance in addition to repairs. This involved external window maintenance, rendering and brick repairs to protect the exterior of the property. We followed this with a programme of decorations.
We had to ensure our new decorations matched the existing decoration. Our team applied white gloss paint to windows and white exterior paint to the external walls. We took on additional works to the rear of the property which were requested by our client. This involved further external decoration and brick repairs, which required adaptive scaffolding.
Project Challenges
This heritage property maintenance project was relatively straightforward, but the Axis team did face some challenges. The property lies on an extremely busy Kings Road with a side street reserved for delivery and parking. We erected scaffolding which had the potential to cause disruption, however, our team overcame this challenge by avoiding any disturbance to the area.
