Shortlisted for Community Engagement Project of the Year at the CN Awards 2026.
We’re proud to announce that Axis has been shortlisted for the Community Engagement Project of the Year at the CN Awards 2026, in recognition of its transformational work with L&Q at Lewisham Park Towers.
Project
We delivered the project as part of a £22m occupied high-rise regeneration programme, where the project encompassed 204 homes and around 350 residents. Works included external wall insulation, over 900 window replacements, roofing systems and major M&E upgrades – all undertaken within a live, politically sensitive environment.
We approached community engagement not as a support function, but as a core delivery discipline. A dedicated Resident Hub and a team of on-site Resident Liaison Officers, alongside a full-time wellbeing-focused RLO, provided daily and visible support. This was reinforced through open forums with MPs and councillors, proactive communication and rapid response standards, ensuring transparency and accountability.
Our results showed resident satisfaction increased from 85% to 96%, with an 80% survey response rate, zero access refusals and no formal complaints. Our approach eliminated programme risk, maintained delivery certainty and rebuilt trust between client and community. The strength of this approach was further recognised through external review by TPAS, highlighting the quality and impact of resident engagement delivered on the project.
More importantly, our approach to Lewisham Park Towers has left a legacy, one that we’re able to replicate and apply to other projects as being a resident-first engagement model.
