Axis has been employed by our client, Riverside Housing Association, for building repairs and maintenance since 2010. We have a rolling planned programme of works and our contract is due to run for 25-years.
Our Midlands housing division carries out a variety of building repairs and maintenance jobs across approximately 1600 properties from Riverside’s housing stock. We work on a mixture of general needs residential properties, which includes 1–4-bedroom houses and maisonettes, bungalows, and flats within one 8 floor tower block. Our team delivered fencing replacements to the value of £65,000, as well as a programme of window and door replacements at a number of bungalows on Hampshire Road, in West Bromwich. We fitted all properties with new hoop-top fencing to replace the old, dilapidated timber.
The team provided window and door works to front porches at a mixture of private and Riverside homes on Millfield Road in West Bromwich. Our team fitted Profile 22 doors to the properties, this came alongside F16 FRA fire stopping works, to prevent fire access through venting. We also supplied metal work renewals on balconies.
As part of our building repairs and maintenance projects, we also carry out work at a number of other locations such as flats within an 8-floor tower block in West Bromwich.
Community Investment
Our Customer Service Manager and Resident Liaison team worked in collaboration with Riverside to develop The Myra Harris Community Bungalow in West Bromich. We gifted works to the bungalow, a former residential property, which provides a great community space for residents. Our team came in for a full kitchen refurbishment, this came with new cupboard units, internal decoration of the walls, installation of work surfaces, tiling, sinks, flooring, and a renewed fan. We also helped repaint a new extension area.
