New Contract Wins

Axis wins place on NHS DPS

In 2020, Axis won a place on the NHS Minor Works and Maintenance Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) maintained by NHS London Procurement Partnership (LPP) to a maximum value of £1m working in the Greater London area.  Acceptance on the DPS (2020-2025) provides Axis with exposure to all NHS and Public Sector contracting authorities who register to use the DPS for projects within our work category, location and contract value. Roof Works at Farnham Road Hospital for SABP

In 2022, as a result of a mini competition we secured two call off contracts with Surrey and Borders Partnership (SABP) NHS Foundation Trust under the under the NHS Minor Works and Maintenance Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS). These are for the provision of roof repairs and roof works at Farnham Road Hospital and also specifically in the Redwood, Azalea and Bramdean buildings. SABP is a leading provider of health and social care services for people with mental ill-health and learning disabilities in Surrey and Northeast Hampshire and drug and alcohol services in Surrey and Brighton.

Refurbishment Works at St Martin’s Hospital in Canterbury

In August 2022, Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust (KMPT) awarded Axis an NHS contract to refurbish Fern Ward, at St Martin’s Hospital in Canterbury, Kent.

The scope of works here includes: full strip out, new access control security and nurse call installations, new kitchen, food prep area and tea point, new bathrooms/showers/wcs including all anti ligature ancillaries, new security doors throughout, FRA works, M&E installations, DDA works, grounds landscaping and plastering, painting and decorating

St Martin’s Hospital is a high dependency psychiatric facility at St Martin’s Hospital in Canterbury, Kent. Fern Ward is an 18-bed inpatient unit caring for women. So, mindful of the vulnerability of the occupants of Fern Ward we phased our works, respecting the patients’ needs including their protected mealtimes, activities and learning sessions. Chelsea and Westminster NHS Foundation Trust

Conversion & Fit-Out works to 2 x 1st Floor Clinical Rooms.

In March 2023, we are  were delighted to have been appointed by the Chelsea & Westminster NHS Foundation Trust, to undertake Refurbishment & Conversion works at 10 Hammersmith Broadway, which is one of their group community-based Health Clinics, offering various services across London.

The scope of works here includes: frame, upper floor, and roof repair, restoring of the stairs and ramp, external wall, window, and door repairs, internal decoration on the walls and partitions, internal door repairs, wall, floor, and ceiling finishes, installation of sanitaryware, M & E installations, lift and conveyor installations, communications, security & control installations, specialist installations and fire & lightning protection.

Our Track Record

Repairs & Maintenance at Birmingham Children’s Hospital

Since 2015, Axis’ Midlands Division, has been employed by our client Riverside Housing Association to provide works at Birmingham Children’s Hospital. Works include routine repairs and maintenance, programmed works including painting and decoration and electrical works and heritage roof works in the public areas and nurse/doctor accommodation. Run by Birmingham Women’s and Children’s NHS Foundation Trust, Birmingham Children’s Hospital  is a leading specialist paediatric centre offering expert care to more than 90,000 children and young people from across the country. Caring for Hospital Key Workers with Swan

As part of our 14-year Total Asset Management contract with Swan, Axis conducts Repairs and Maintenance and Planned Works at Swan’s schemes which provide affordable, rented housing to NHS key workers. We also provide Out of Hours and essential and emergency services.

The key worker accommodation properties support those who work at Queen’s and King George’s, Colchester General Hospital and Broomfield hospitals. To respect shift working patterns we ensure that works are minimally disruptive for residents and all sites have a dedicated Scheme Manager and an Area Scheme Manager.
