Project Details
Axis carried out a programme of care home maintenance works at a property for long-standing client A2 Dominion. The property is a care home for residents with learning difficulties in West Ealing, London. It also houses a number of staff members.
Our housing division took on a scope of maintenance works, to be completed in two stages. In the first stage of the project, we started with repairs and redecorations to all external portions of the property. The team restored all of the windows alongside repainting all of the exterior walls.
The residents remained living in the property during this initial stage. However, once our team had completed their external work, we took a break from the site. This break allowed care home staff to make arrangements for the residents to move out safely before we could implement stage two of the project.
Our team commenced stage two of this care home maintenance project with internal repairs and redecorations. We carried out extra maintenance to ensure all fire-retardant paint was applied properly and compliant with regulations. The team also completed tiling work in the kitchen, which had been removed by the electricians to access the wiring inside the property.
Project Details
Our team only faced the challenge of residents being safely moved out of the property before works could be completed. We overcame this challenge through good communication with the client and forward planning of the project to ensure minimal delays in completion.
