Project Details
Axis Europe was employed by Westminster City Council for bay window replacement works, with additional decoration and roof works. Our heritage division delivered the specifications at a building in the Maida Vale area of West London. The property is a Victorian end of terrace, council-owned residential house. We completed our programme of works across a 22-week period. This was part of delivering planned and cyclical decorations and improvements for the client.
Our original scope of works was to deconstruct and reconstruct the two front bay windows, due to structural issues. We replaced all the windows externally and decorated all previously decorated items externally. After the demolition and rebuilding of the property’s front windows, our team provided a full flat roof replacement service.
As an additional item of work, our team refitted and decorated one kitchen, in the first floor flat of the property. We also provided a programme of internal decorations within the building. The team installed new flooring and repainted internal areas throughout the property, also as an additional item.
External decorations were provided within the remit of this project. We provided groundworks at the property to prepare sub-surfaces, which included a rebuild of the front boundary walls. Our team also completed a programme of repointing to the brickwork.
As part of our bay window replacement works, we were also asked to replace the roof covering. Our team also made structural repairs to the building and went on to provide drainage works.
