The works included complete kitchen and bathroom replacement, with flooring, windows and accessibility improvements, delivered within live occupied homes. The programme was carried out for Notting Hill Genesis and completed in approximately two weeks per property. By combining efficient delivery with a resident-first approach, Axis minimised disruption while maintaining high standards of workmanship and communication throughout the works. The result was a series of modern, practical and accessible home improvements that enhanced safety, usability and overall wellbeing for residents.

The refurbishment works created brighter, more functional kitchens with new cabinets, sinks, vinyl flooring and windows, while bathroom upgrades replaced outdated fittings with modern showers, toilets, sinks and flooring. Accessibility improvements also made the spaces safer and easier to use.
For resident Godwin, the impact was significant. His new bathroom now allows him to sit and shower independently, which was not possible before the works. This has made personal care easier and more dignified, while feedback from on-site carers highlighted the team’s professionalism, speed and quality of delivery.
Innovations, challenges, solutions
Working in live occupied homes brought logistical and resident care challenges, particularly where tenants had additional mobility needs. At Castletown Road, these were managed through careful planning, and clear communication throughout.
