Axis wins Fire Safety Contract with Winchester City Council

Via Axis’ presence on LHC’s Fire Safety framework (2024- 2028), Winchester City Council awarded Axis a Passive Fire Protection works contract (including Type 2 Compartmentation Surveys) to 100 flats.

This contract has a value of c£300,000, and works are due to start in May 2025.

Following FRA and compartmentation surveys, Winchester City Council wished to conduct high-priority passive fire protection works to improve compartmentation and replace defective and non-compliant doors with new FD30s fire doors.

In addition, the council required electrical remedial works such as improving the existing emergency lighting design and systems and other associated works.

Axis will be undertaking Passive Fire Protection works on behalf of Winchester City Council with the overall aim of safeguarding residents. enhancing the overall safety of the buildings, reducing potential risks, and bringing the properties in line with current fire safety regulations.
