Project Details
Our public sector team took on a variety of works within this project. We implemented a full strip out of the station back to its shell and core as well as removing partition walls. The team also removed suspended ceilings, flooring, and the door entry systems. We did this in preparation to renew what had previously been breakout rooms and an outdated lobby.
Our client’s objective for the police station repair works was to repurpose the facility to create a new entrance, front counter, waiting area. The client also wanted to introduce new interview rooms. Our team embarked on mechanical and electrical installations after the strip-out. We incorporated electric, data and bespoke lighting designed for the new building configuration.
We remodelled the main entrance by renewing a large, canopied entrance for improved accessibility and installed a new set of automatic doors. Our team had DDA compliant main and disabled counters designed and fitted in the newly created glazed lobby area along with the interview rooms.
During the interior fit-out, the team installed suspended ceilings, new walls, doors, and flooring. This came before the team applied a programme of decorations. Externally, we adapted the property to include new disabled parking bays, paving and access handrails.
